Photo Battle that is. The folks over at FotoJournal created a cool web app that let's you pick between one of two user submitted pictures placed side by side. If you have photos you want to submit it only takes a few minutes to register and upload up to nine photos. Very simple and slick concept. You'll need to be patient since it looks like at the time of this writing their server is getting slammed. Time for more server iron good people.
I uploaded nine photos to get a feel for what people might like (or not). Fun!
And I noticed in one of the posts that watermarks are now banned. Going to have to fix mine since they all come out of Lightroom with my watermark. I think that makes sense to help them stay anonymous and prevent abuse.

I will predict right now that photobattle.me will be a huge hit. It's simple to participate and fun like Asteroids or Pong was fun on the Atari; without even needing any hand-eye coordination.
From a more scientific perspective I will keep some stats and see if my photo rankings on photobattle.me are consistent with the performance of my prints and stock. Can a public binary comparison of two random images predict the popularity of an image? Order from chaos and all that good stuff.

Very Cool But Will It Be An Accurate Indicator?
